Our Projects
Hassan Project
Led by Ahmad Yousuf, auspiced by Australian Multicultural Community Centre
Ahmad Yousuf’s project, “Hassan,” is an exciting venture within the realm of filmmaking. This project aims to create a compelling short film that explores the challenges of peer pressure and the consequences of risk-taking behavior. By harnessing the power of storytelling, “Hassan” seeks to raise awareness and promote healthy decision-making among young individuals. What sets this project apart is its active engagement of young people in every aspect of the storytelling and filmmaking process, allowing them to be key participants from start to finish.
Cyber Security Awareness Project
Led by Leano Pheto, auspiced by Australian Multicultural Community Centre
We are excited to introduce the Cyber Security Awareness Project as part of our ongoing initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of our community, particularly our young individuals, in the digital age.
In this project, Leano will be delivering a crucial cyber security awareness program that aims to empower young people with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the online world safely. With the ever-increasing presence of technology and the internet in our lives, it is essential to equip young individuals with the tools to protect themselves and make informed decisions online.
Through interactive workshops, educational materials, and engaging discussions, the Cyber Security Awareness Project will cover various topics, including the following:
– Understanding online threats and risks
– Safe internet browsing practices
– Recognizing and avoiding scams and phishing attempts
By raising awareness and providing practical guidance, this project plays a crucial role in fostering a safer online environment for our youth. Through the Cyber Security Awareness Project, we aim to empower young individuals to make informed choices and take control of their digital lives.
We are delighted to introduce the Get Active Project, a support group initiative specifically designed for individuals with disabilities in our community. Thanks to the generous funding from the Hume City Council through the 2023 Community Grants Program, we are able to establish a permanent venue that will serve as a dedicated space for inclusive collaboration and engagement.
Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where individuals with disabilities can come together, alongside guest speakers, volunteers, and staff. Through regular gatherings and activities, the Get Active Project aims to foster empowerment, social connection, and overall well-being.
The Get Active Project will provide a safe and accessible space for participants to engage in a variety of physical activities, recreational programs, and educational workshops. By promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and social inclusion, we strive to empower individuals to lead active and fulfilling lives.
With an emphasis on support and community, we aim to create an environment where participants can share experiences, offer encouragement, and build lasting connections. The Get Active Project offers a unique opportunity for individuals with disabilities to come together, learn from one another, and navigate life’s challenges as a united group.
We are excited to witness the positive impact this project will have on the lives of our community members. Through the Get Active Project, we hope to inspire and uplift individuals with disabilities, providing them with the necessary support to thrive and live their best lives.

Get Active Project
Welcome to the Multicultural Women Support Group, a community initiative aimed at empowering and supporting women from diverse cultural backgrounds. Our purpose is to create a safe and inclusive space for women to come together, share experiences, and provide mutual support.
The Multicultural Women Support Group embraces the rich diversity of our community by fostering connections and understanding among women from different cultural backgrounds. We understand that women face unique challenges related to cultural adjustment, language barriers, and social isolation. This support group aims to address these challenges and provide a platform for personal growth, empowerment, and friendship.
Through our regular meetings, workshops, and activities, we facilitate opportunities for women to learn from one another, build resilience, and improve their well-being. Our discussions cover a range of topics that are relevant and meaningful to multicultural women, including cultural identity, self-care, career development, and community engagement.
By creating a welcoming atmosphere, we aim to empower and inspire women to embrace their cultural heritage, overcome barriers, and reach their full potential. Together, we celebrate diversity and the strength that comes from sharing our stories, traditions, and wisdom.
The Multicultural Women Support Group invites women from all cultural backgrounds to join us in a journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and cultural exchange. By connecting with like-minded individuals, building lasting friendships, and providing support, we believe that together, we can make a positive impact in our own lives and those around us.
